Gamelead is a Steam library analyzer. It shows playtime, prices and wasted money for a Steam profile. This page explains which data we process and how to remove it.
What we collect
- public Steam ID, nickname, avatar and country/region;
- public playtime and owned-games data returned by the Steam Web API;
- game prices for the selected region;
- the calculated statistics (money wasted, backlog and similar).
We do not ask for a Steam password and do not receive one.
Why we process it
The data is used only to calculate and display the statistics you requested. A profile is shown in the public top scans only if you explicitly allow it in the post-scan dialog. By default the profile stays private.
Viewing statistics for a public Steam profile relies on our legitimate interest in providing the calculator; it does not require a consent checkbox. Publishing a profile in the public top is opt-in and requires explicit consent.
Retention
- If you allow publication, the profile stays in the top until you remove it or request deletion.
- If you decline publication, the profile is hidden from the top immediately and deleted within 24 hours.
- If you close the dialog without answering, the profile is treated as not published and is deleted within 24 hours.
How to delete your data
Open the main page and use Privacy and data → Delete my data now. Enter your Steam ID or profile alias and confirm. The user record is deleted immediately and a Kafka event removes the stored playtime statistics in the stats service.
The same section has Remove from top: it hides the profile immediately and starts the 24-hour deletion window.
Third parties
Steam Web API is used to resolve profiles, libraries and prices. The site is hosted on our own VPS. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and analytics
The application does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Server and observability logs are kept for a limited time for security and debugging.
Contact
For privacy questions or a deletion request that you cannot complete through the form, open an issue in the project repository or contact the site owner.
